Privacy policy

This policy covers the English pages of gatgooun.com. We keep what we collect to a minimum and only list what we actually use.

What we collect

• No accounts. You can't sign up, and we don't ask for your name, email, address or phone number on these pages.
• Our own visit counter. Each page sends our server a small record: the page address, the page you came from, a random ID kept in your browser's local storage (not linked to your name), your device type and the country our host reads from the request. We don't store your IP address with it. Clicks on store buttons are recorded the same way (which product and which page).
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies in your browser and collects device, browser and page-view information. Google handles this data under its own policy. You can block it with your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on.
• Hosting logs. Our host (Vercel) may process technical request data such as IP address to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Affiliate links and store cookies

When you click a store link marked "Affiliate link", you leave Gatgooun. The store or its affiliate network may set cookies to record that you came from us, so a purchase can be credited. We don't receive your name or payment details. Each store's own privacy policy applies there.

Your choices

You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time. The site works without them.

The Korean-language briefing at /ko/ has its own policy (in Korean) at /privacy.html, which also covers its newsletter.
